Nearly one year after the very successful launch of Exclusive Human Resources, the business continues to grow and I'm very pleased to announce a new addition to the company, Gareth Harrison.

Fiercely proud of our difference from the mass market recruitment world, expanding the business by bringing in a CIPD qualified HR professional with a proven recruitment pedigree has been no easy task!

Due to the growing demand for our business to recruit HR Administrators up to HR Advisor level, Gareth has been tasked with delivering a bespoke, HR recruitment service focussed on such assignments.

I am certain that Gareth will develop Exclusive Human Resources unrivalled level of specialist knowledge and service across the North East and Cumbria. Below is a brief introduction to Gareth.

Exclusive Human Resources expands to welcome new Senior Consultant

Gareth’s recruitment career started with a major City agency, specialising in legal appointments. He spent two successful years gaining invaluable experience in the field. Handling assignments up to partner level for major law firms, including those in the Magic Circle certainly gave Gareth an introduction at the deep end, but it was a challenge which has benefitted his career and ability as a professional recruiter immensely.

When an opportunity with a niche legal recruitment agency in the North East arose, the draw of ‘Coming home, Newcastle’ brought Gareth back to the region. Initially employed as a consultant, Gareth progressed to the position of Recruitment Manager within the business and managed a small team of specialists. While he continued to recruit successfully, the responsibility of management and the exposure to HR duties that one would expect in a small business developed his long held desire to build on a BA in Business Studies and Economics and look to gain a specialism in HR.

With this in mind, Gareth returned to university part-time to study for his Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, which he passed with Commendation to give him CIPD qualified status. Once he achieved this, he was able to move into a recruitment focused HR position with a public sector training provider. Here, he was responsible for the recruitment and all subsequent HR advice for upwards of 120 Apprentices aged between 16-21. The role was both successful and fulfilling, with many young people gaining qualifications and moving into meaningful full time employment as a direct consequence of Gareth’s efforts. He also introduced HR policies and procedures into the organisation and worked extensively in the area of equality and diversity in his position.

With a number of years of professional recruitment experience, coupled with his HR expertise, Gareth was the ideal addition to the Exclusive Human Resources team in his new role as Senior Consultant.
